National Recreation Summit
PERC has been retained by the Summit Secretariat to provide Event Convener services for this national event held at Chateau Lake Louise in October 2011. The goal of the event is to "develop a national agenda for the recreation sector in Canada for the next ten years".
Cowichan Valley Regional District – Regionally Significant Recreation Facilities Usage Study
The Cowichan Valley Regional District has retained PERC to collect facility usage information by area of residence for regionally significant recreation facilities. The study area includes the City of Duncan, District of North Cowichan, Town of Ladysmith, Town of Lake Cowichan, and nine CVRD Electoral Areas.
Fort St. John Organizational Review
PERC has been asked to undertake an organizational review of the Recreation and Facilities Departments and make any recommendations for improving effectiveness of how these two departments inter-relate to deliver recreation services in recreation facilities.
Fort St. John Fees and Charges Review
PERC has been retained to work with City staff to develop a Parks and Recreation Fees and Charges Policy.
Surrey Fees and Charges Policy Development
PERC is working with staff at the City of Surrey to develop a Fees and Charges Policy for the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department.
Tennis BC Strategic Plan
PERC is preparing a Strategic Plan and a Business Plan for this provincial Sport Governing Body which aligns with the Tennis Canada Strategic Plan.
WestShore Parks and Recreation Society Capital Plan
PERC is preparing a Capital Plan for Recreation Facilities for the next ten years for this collection of communities just west of Victoria BC.
Rankin Inlet, NT - Feasibilty Study
PERC is part of a consulting team led by FSC of Yellowknife to investigate a the feasibility of a new Multiplex for that Nunavut community.
Burnaby BC – Ismaili Park Planning Process
The local and international Ismaili community are prepared to fund a major park project that will broad based community needs. The community has partnered with the City on a planning study which will identify those needs and determine what kind of project will optimally meet them. PERC is working with the City’s staff on this project.
Iqaluit NT – Feasibility Study for a Recreation Multiplex
The City is growing and its indoor pool will soon not be available for public uses. It is considering the development of a new complex which will replace that facility and add new amenities not currently available.
New Westminster BC – Fees and Charges Policy
The City has an established fees and charges policy, but wishes to update it and put it on a firmer, more consistent foundation. A new policy is being developed.
