Beginning with Parks and Recreation, he worked with the City of Port Coquitlam as a youth worker, and transitioned into urban planning with a private consulting firm, while continuing to work with Port Coquitlam. From there, he spent time in the private sector developing business partnerships as the Director of Business Development for a high tech firm.

Greg has a Masters degree in Business Administration from Royal Roads University, a degree in Urban Geography/Planning from Simon Fraser University, and a diploma in Arts from Douglas College. He is currently a member of the HR MacMillan Space Centre Board of Directors and the Co-chair of the New View Capital Fund Raising Task Force, and the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors, and also serve a Chair of the Terry Fox Hometown Run and the North East Sector Stream Stewardship Society.
